BTC welcomes new members, whether they are new to the sport of rowing; relocating into the area; back from university for the summer; or are coming back into the sport after a longer break.

Whatever your reason is you will find us to be a friendly and very competitive club to join. We have competing members from the age of 10 to 70 years. The novice division is a competitive division for first time rowers. Novice rowers train 2-3 times a week and attend around 8 regattas a season. They will race against other first time rowers at these regattas. There is usually a wide range of ages involved; http://www.btcrowingclub.co.uk/?page_id=8">winners of the novice division in recent years have included rowers aged from 15 to 50.

WELCOME

A rower’s novice season is always the most memorable, fun times will be had by all. There are sections for juniors (10 to 18), seniors (19 to 40) and Veterans (over 40). All of the sections have facilities for male and female participants. We row locally in the Hants & Dorset Rowing Association during the summer months. This entails racing in coastal boats at regattas within the region at weekends. These boats are fours, pairs and sculls designed specifically for the coastal waters. We also travel further afield inland to river regattas and heads. Many club members have their own boats which they use to compete at all levels. Our members have competed at both National and International level.

Our veterans race at the World Masters each year and have won gold medals in Canada and Belgium. We have also been represented at Henley Royal Regatta by our men’s senior crew. We have also been represented at Henley by our ladies and our veteran men.
